What is the scale length of a Spanish Guitar or Classical Guitar?
If you’re buying a Spanish Guitar or Classical Guitar, it’s worth getting familiar with the available sizes and what is recommended for your height.
The standard scale length of a classical guitar is 650 to 660 mm (25.6 to 26 inches). That size is referred to as 4/4 or ‘full size’.
Smaller sized Spanish or Classical guitars are 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 being the most popular but with other fractional sizes also available. The fractions indicate the following, rather than a proportional scale length.
