1920s Dulcetto Portable Gramophone Made in England Parrot Emblem decorative
Dulcetto Portable Gramophone Made in England Parrot Emblem decorative inside/out from the 1920s.
Plenty of features such as the colourful parrot emblem, parrot on sound box, decorative marquetry style turntable, subtle embossing on outer tolex, winder integrated in to the carry handle and more.
Not many of these about, so a good chance to get one for your collection.
Winds up and turntable turns. Some cosmetic issues. As with gramophones of this age it will need some servicing to ensure smooth playing. Please see photos to appraise and ask if not sure.
The “Dulcetto” name was a brand for gramophones, not a manufacturing company itself. It was used by the British Polyphon Company in the 1920s for their range of gramophones. Essentially, Dulcetto was a brand under which British Polyphon sold their gramophones.
